Highlights in Vilsen
Bruchhausen-Vilsen is located centrally between Bremen and Hannover. But you don´t have to investigate the distance, to experience something while you’re visiting the health resort. You can find offers of excursion destinations and events directly on-site.
In the town center lays the quarter of the historic museum railway, where regular tours are offered. In the same street you can find the water playground or the skatepark, great destinations for our young guests.
The Wiehe-Bad is the biggest open-air pool in the region and invites to sunbathing on the wonderful spacious lawn. Directly next door lies the cultivated spa garden with its calm promenades. In spring and summertime, every Sunday, there is a concert in the spa garden on the small open-air-stage. Also, the event “Musik im Park” takes place, 4 times in the summertime with different bands.
If you like a little more action, leaving the area a bit, you´ll find the Vilser Holz. A woodland with trails, including exercise trails. The Heiligeberg, in the woodlands of the same name, is also a popular destination. The small woodland is pervaded by water veins and offers a Kneipp cure, which is pleasant after a long walk.
Also, the calendar of events isn´t empty in Bruchhausen-Vilsen, every autumn the great sheep market takes place, it’s like an open for business Sunday with many different exhibitors.
On the last weekend in august there is yearly the Brokser Heiratsmarkt. It counts to the 6 big fairs in Northwest Germany and counts to 400.000 visitors per year.
